Combating Compassion Fatigue, Vicarious Trauma, and Burnout! (1.5 Credit Hours)

This engaging training helps caregivers and child welfare support staff recognize the emotional impact of working with children who have experienced trauma. Participants learn to identify early warning signs of compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout while exploring practical strategies that strengthen resilience. Through real world examples, reflection activities, and supportive discussion, participants gain tools for self care, healthy coping, and building a strong support network—ultimately enhancing their capacity to provide consistent, trauma responsive support that promotes child safety, well being, and placement stability.
