This session focuses on the significance of elopement and wandering behavior in autistic individuals. The session will highlight the prevalence, family impact, risk factors, proactive measures, and communication techniques to de-escalate situations when elopement occurs. You will be equipped with tools to de-escalate situations and empower autistic individuals.

of Child & Family Studies in the College of Behavioral and Community
