Course overview
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD):
What It Is and What We Do About It
This training will help the attendee identify red flags and signs that may indicate that a child may have brain-based difficulties as a result of prenatal alcohol exposure, which can be especially prevalent for children in foster care. This presentation will also help attendees shift their perspective in order to begin to view social/emotional problems, difficult behaviors, and learning challenges of these individuals as a symptom of brain dysfunction and not willful defiance and opposition.
