Expanding the Language of Grief:
Supporting Youth with Disabilities in Bereavement

This session offers practical tools and inclusive strategies for supporting neurodiverse youth through grief. Led by a HEARTplay clinician, it covers trauma-informed care, expressive arts, and the RICE model (Respected, Informed, Connected, Empowered). Participants will learn how to adapt grief rituals, use social stories, and create safe, structured environments for emotional expression and healing.
