Affirming Care of LBGTQIA+ Youth
In this presentation you will learn about child development and gender and orientation. LGBTQ+ youth are over-represented in the child welfare system, and this presentation explains that affirmation can be life changing for youth. You will learn about the psychological evaluation process, puberty blockers and hormone therapies, and the importance of seeking help from affirming professionals.
