Coparenting in Foster Care
(QPI Only)
Kim White and Victoria Camper have lived experience as a foster parent and birth parent. After their presentation you will be able to identify ways to take a "child-centered" approach to coparenting with families of origin. Understand how coparenting improves outcomes measures in terms of success of reunification, minimization of re-traumatization to the child and improved stability of reunification. Specific ways that you can engage families of origin in the coparenting process are included.
This course is only available to States and Communities who participate in the Quality Parenting Initiative. Those who do not participate in QPI will not be able to enroll. Participating QPI Sites are California, Nevada and Philadelphia, PA.
