Fostering Sibling Connections:
What Caregivers Need to Know About the Law and Lived Experience

This course helps caregivers understand how sibling relationships impact safety, stability, and permanency—and what federal and state laws require agencies to do to keep siblings connected. Through lived experience stories and practical guidance, caregivers learn how to support sibling placement, facilitate ongoing contact, document efforts, and collaborate with caseworkers to meet IV E expectations for reasonable efforts, visitation, and placement decision making.
